Harnessing Herbal Medicine to optimise your Health and Wellbeing

Wyld Court Herbs

Feeling tired, sick, or frustrated with recurring symptoms? Confused by all the different remedies and not sure what will help you?

At Wyld Court Herbs, we focus on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. We look at the underlying causes of imbalance and understand that everyone is unique.

Herbal medicine offers a personalised approach to wellness, using herbs as the main treatment. We also provide advice on diet and lifestyle to help your body regain balance and improve your health naturally.

Your health is your greatest asset, but what does that really mean? Is it just not being sick, or is it feeling balanced and full of energy? Both Ayurveda and the World Health Organization define health as a positive balance between mind and body. Herbal medicine can help achieve this balance by supporting detoxification, promoting healthy elimination, and overall wellbeing.

Wyld Court Herbs is a place for learning and connection. Join us for herbal walks in the summer or virtual events throughout the year to learn about herbal medicine, plant lore, and Ayurvedic principles in a modern context.

We also offer reflexology as a complementary therapy to promote relaxation, balance, and wellbeing.

Discover how herbal medicine can naturally and holistically support your health.

Dolly Lushai

I am a Medical Herbalist with over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness field, focusing on the connection between humans and plants.

I have always been interested in the healing properties of plants, starting from my childhood when I had my own garden for herbal remedies. My mother used to give me herbal teas when I was sick, so herbs have always been a part of my life.

I began my formal studies with a course in Aromatherapy and later studied Ayurveda, the traditional health system of India. My passion for plants led me to pursue a second degree in Herbal Medicine.

I use my modern medical training and skills to choose the best herbs and treatment plan for you. I also have extensive training in Ayurveda to enhance this approach.

My qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Integrated Health: Herbal Medicine, a BA (Hons) in Ayurvedic Studies, an ITEC Reflexology Diploma, an RCCA Aromatherapy Diploma, and additional training in Maternity Reflexology.

I stay updated on new skills and knowledge in herbal medicine and natural health practices and am a member of several governing bodies.

Herbal Consultation

The herbal consultation takes place at Neal's Yard Therapy Rooms in Covent Garden or at the clinic in the Berkshire.

At the initial consultation, a detailed case history is taken, to include current and past health conditions, medications, family history etc. Providing as much information as possible helps me understand your situation better and choose the most suitable treatment and herbs. A physical examination may be conducted, including checking blood pressure if needed. Your vitality and constitution are evaluated to guide the treatment plan and herb selection.

At the end of the consultation, a treatment plan with herbs at the centre is created, along with advice on lifestyle changes and nutrition.

Any herbal preparations are then dispensed from the dispensary.

Follow up

A follow up consultation is usually scheduled 2-3 weeks later to discuss your progress and after that further appointments can be scheduled for longer time gap of 6-8 weeks if required.

The Herbal Dispensary

The herbal dispensary is at Wyld Court Herbs in Berkshire and is where most of the herbal preparations are dispensed from. So if your consultation is at Wyld Court Herbs this is done immediately after your consultation.  If the consultation is at Neal’s Yard Therapy Rooms in London it is either left there at a arranged later date for you to collect or sent to you.

These preparations come in many forms. Most often these come as a tincture which is in an alcohol base. But they can also be as a tissane or tea or as tablets, powders, creams, lotions and ointments, varying according to the individual need.

If for some reason it is not something we stock then advice will be given on how you can get them from some other reputable source.

Reflexology

Would you like to find a way to relax more deeply? Do you find it hard to switch your mind off after a busy day?

To complement the work I do with the Herbal Medicine I also offer Reflexology sessions which for most people is a most relaxing experience.

By working on your feet, applying pressure to the relevant reflex points, blockages that are felt are worked on and released to realign your body bringing about a state of balance.

It is recommended that a series of at least 4 treatments be given to begin to get marked results.

Pregnancy Reflexology

Reflexology during pregnancy is particularly beneficial after the first trimester. Please be in touch if you'd like to find out more or .
